Hanoi, Vietnam

We pulled in at 6am and set up shop in the old quarter. Once the girls had roused from their uninterrupted sleep we headed out to cruise the streets led by Jenny's unfaltering orienteering, all we had to do was not let go of the rope.

We checked out an island on this small lake in the middle of the city. An old fishing post of a late king.
The rest of the afternoon was uneventful. The girls went shopping. I bought a pair of converse shoes. This is my weak attempt to diversify my style from standard old-man clothes. I'll carry them through Australia, wear them once, they'll find residence at the back of a closet at home, then be donated to goodwill in a spring-cleaning operation 5 years from now.

Headed for Halong Bay the next morn.
